Will a teeth whitening kit damage bonding on front teeth?
I'm getting my two front teeth bonded in two weeks, but I whiten my teeth every few weeks and want to keep them white after the bonding. I know that the whitening bleach doesn't stick to bonding so I'm going to whiten before I get it done. But When I need to redo my teeth is it is ok to put the bleach on the bonding or can it be damaged. I want to keep my white teeth but I don't want my front teeth to be a different shade than my others. Help!

Recently my teeth have started to become discolored. usually my teeth are all one color but recently they have started to get white splotches on the bottom half. I think that it could be because I am a swimmer or because I have been sick and the plaque that gets on them overnight might be what is causing the discoloration the last thing might be due to the fact that I have been using whitening tooth paste and it is splotching my teeth. I have had 4 pulled and I am trying to figure out if this tooth coming in is a wisdom tooth or if it is a normal tooth (I have 22 teeth without counting wisdom teeth)

i hate it.. but anyways.
im getting "shark teeth" with 2 of my teeth..
one is a molar and its pushed the baby one completly on its side pointing towards the inside of my mouth, but i cant get it out..
and the other is my right canine and the baby one isnt very loose but the adult one is kinda big...
i really want to get my braces on as soon as possible so i can get them off fast. i dont want them in my senior pictures and i dont know how long ill have to have my braces on... im in 9th grade.
so please give me a way to get my teeth out. the loose and not the loose.. but mainly the "shark" ones.
please a way besides the dentist if you can, thats going to be very expensive and the braces are already going to cost a bunch..

You have to go to a dentist. The pain from pulling them by yourself could be enough to make you faint, plus you could get an infection and end up dying from it. Also, if you damage the bone in your jaw by trying to pull them yourself, you could end up disfigured and your teeth would look even worse. For gosh sakes go to the dentist. This isn't something you can do yourself girlfriend. TALK TO YOUR PARENTS!!!

My daughter, now 3 months old, Started tething at 2 months. The doctor said she could teeth for months, or wake up one day with a tooth. My cousin had 2 teeth by the time he was 3 1/2 months, I was just wondering how soon your kids actually got teeth. Thanks!!

Gap Between teeth.?
i had braces for four years, just go them off during the summer. First the dentist gave me a mouth piece, that i was suppose to wear 8 hours a day, to keep the teeth from moivng. now i have a retainer. I am noticing that i am getting a gap between my two front teeth, and my tooth is like shifting towards the other tooth. and tooth is slightly larger than the other.. I really dont want braces again but it seems my two front teeth are moving again.?

Babies teeth??
Hi just wondering about my 10 week old baby boys gums and teeth. I know its not impossible for him to be getting teeth now but it is unlikely. Obviously this is my first baby so i am unsure on how the gums should look. i can see teeth. the shape and the whiteness where the tooth looks very close to the surface of the gum. My mum, who has 4 children says he is not teething but i just cant stop looking at them and thinking they look like teeth ready to break through??? advice please????

i can see my baby teeth when he was as young as 4 mo... but he started teething since he was 6 mo... how did i know, ? he was so cranky ... even though everything else is fine (no sick, so fever, no feeding problems, just some sleep problems on nite time)
but until now he is 10 mo, he hasn't any teeth yet
if he is dribbling a lot and out of sorts, he could be teething .. consult with docter about it

Reply:i doubt that he is teething already, but if he is just wait it out. it's not that big of a deal... you will know when he's teething. most babies will be more fussy, won't want to eat as much and will drool a lot. why are you so concerned about it? that's probably just the way his gums look... it's not teeth. talk to his pediatrician if you are so worried about it.
Reply:My son is 19months old and I remember thinking that too. I think it is just normal b/c their teeth are just below the gum line. Some babies get teeth as early as 3 months so it could be possibe. If he is drooling a lot and putting his hands in his mouth more that is a sign of teething. When they first broke through there were just two itty bitty holes in her gums in which you could see a speck of white. There was no outline of the rest of the tooth visible under the gum, it just grew up through the holes.
You might be seeing Epstein pearls. Or other random bumps on his gums. Of course, it is possible that he is actually teething.

i can see my baby teeth when he was as young as 4 mo... but he started teething since he was 6 mo... how did i know, ? he was so cranky ... even though everything else is fine (no sick, so fever, no feeding problems, just some sleep problems on nite time)
but until now he is 10 mo, he hasn't any teeth yet
if he is dribbling a lot and out of sorts, he could be teething .. consult with docter about it

Reply:i doubt that he is teething already, but if he is just wait it out. it's not that big of a deal... you will know when he's teething. most babies will be more fussy, won't want to eat as much and will drool a lot. why are you so concerned about it? that's probably just the way his gums look... it's not teeth. talk to his pediatrician if you are so worried about it.

my son (18 months) has 4 teeth on the top upper and 2 more coming in on top, the "meat teeth". he has one "meat tooth" coming in on the bottom. then he has no other teeth on the bottom and has no signs of them coming in. is this strange? we have no dental insurance, i thought i would ask here first. dentist is the last resort.

Grinding teeth and mobility?
Hello. I asked this question a couple hours ago and got only 1 response which is good but I am hoping for more peoples input.
I pick up my grinding splint on Wednesday cause I grind my teeth at night and sometimes during the day. I have noticed that some of my teeth move alittle and I have asked question on YahooAnswers before regarding that. What I would like to know is, if your teeth move more then they should cause the ligament is stretched due to grinding, does it harden back up after the reason they are loose is taken away? When people get braces, they have to wear a retainer till the ligament harden up around the teeth. Is that the same for grinders who wear a guard at night? Will teeth that might be very slightly mobile harden up over time when the tension of grinding is gone?

Bleaching my teeth..is there something going wrong??
yesterday i went to the dentist and got my home bleaching kit and i did everything the dentist told me to do. This morning after bleaching my teeth it didn't seem any whiter than before. Is there supposed to be any difference after the first day?
And after taking the molds out my teeth.. how long after can i brush my teeth or eat somethin?
Also afterwards at school i realized that on some of my teeth there are white lines at the bottom of my teeth is that supposed to happen?
Ohh and after how many days of using this kit will my teeth have an obvious difference in colour?

It could take a couple of days to notice a difference. You should brush your teeth when you remove your trays. The white lines are normal, this is called the "splotchy stage" which means that some parts of your enamel are responding differently to the bleaching and are bleaching faster. If you continue you will see that soon the rest of your tooth will catch up.
If you have deep staining it could take a longer time to bleach your teeth, but the at-home kit is the best method for whitening. While it may take longer than in-office bleaching, it actually whitens more and will give you less side effects. This is professional bleaching.

Brits? Band teeth? Where di they get that from?
I just herd an american saying that brits have bad teeth, where did they get that from? In fact alot of british people have very clean teeth and everybody here brushes their teeth, i guess this is just another american attempt to dominate which isn't noticed, its because they are fustrated cause the world teese them about being so fat, but THAT is true, (they are the fattest nation) and look at mcdonalds and burgerking, so they get angry and make up some crappy joke about bad teeth, Yh ok whats next, another shameful attempt of american humor, Friends is bad enough... Crooked baby teeth is this unusual?
My son is 14 months old and has the top 2 teeth and 3 bottom teeth . The top 2 teeth are straight with a fairly big gap between and the bottom 2 teeth are crooked. He has never had a dummy and doesn't suck his thumb. He only has 1 bottle a day in the evening so hes not sucking on the bottle either. None of our family have crooked or gappy teeth. I am concerned even though he will lose these teeth that this is possibility of things to come is this true?

Teeth brackets falling out?
Hey, I just had brackets put on my teeth yesturday. No wires yet.
Anyways, at night I brushed my teeth for two minutes like they said to and then went to sleep. When I woke up it felt like I was missing a bracket or two on the right side, and when I look in the mirror there is a tooth without a bracket between two teeth that do have brackets.
So I'm worried that I may have lost the bracket sleeping or something by biting while sleeping. Is it possible for your brackets to just fall out like that?
And does it cost money to get a new bracket? How much?

6 teeth in 3 months?
My son has lost 6 teeth in the last few months, 2 of them this week alone!!! Is this normal? I see where one that came out a week or so ago is already having an adult tooth come in, but right now, he only has 2 of his 8 front teeth completely there. Those 2 are permanent teeth. Another permanent tooth is about half way in. He eats a fairly balanced diet when he's not being mr. picky. He gets loads of vitamins C though, he loves oranges and gets juice and a multivitamin everyday. I can't think of what could be wrong, if anything. also... i'm afraid because i was just on a cruise two weeks ago and could only brush my teeth once er twice a day for 2 weeks ( I usually do alot more) plus some mouth wash... and one tooth hurts when i eat but when i touch it it doesn't hurt. does this mean its a cavity??? i really don't want to get a filling, and teeth pulling in the same day. at. all.

TEETH PULLING... tomorrow. Help!!!!!?
Well first of all I am asuming the teeth you are getting pulled are baby teeth because that is what I had done. First, the shot. I got 4 and didn't even feel them. The rub a gel on your gums where the shot will be and then they do it. I couldn't feel a thing. (probably because I was practically crying and I was so scared) So if there is pain, it is very minor.
After you have waited about 10 minutes after the novacaine was given, they will pull the teeth. They use something that lools like pliers(don't let them scare you) and just simply pull them out. When they did mine (I had 2 pulled) I was waiting for some major pain, but they showed me the teeth they had already pulled before I knew they ever started! Completely painless for me! Way more of a mental pain and fear! Your mouth stays numb for a few hours afterward, not a big deal at all. It's kinda fun!
As for your tooth that hurts, I am not sure if it is a cavity or not. (try putting ice directly on it, amd see it if is sensitive. if it is, it's probably a cavity) If it is a cavity, They wouldn't fill it that same day unless it was a really rare occasion.

I was scared too...haha, but they gave me the shot..and I felt alot of pressure, and I told him it hurt and to give me another shot. And they did, so if you feel anything---stop them. and tell them to give you another one. haha, don't smoke or drink through a straw afterwards either for a while..and I am not going to lie, I cried. But I am okay now...haha, and I wish you luck!!!! Remember, it will help you out in the long run tho :)

Reply:The Lidocaine will make a big difference. Make sure to tell the dentist to use a lot of topical which will numb the area where the shot will be. You can get nitrous oxide (laughing gas) too if you want to, a lot of people do and it helps to take their mind off of what's going on. Ask your dentist for a sample of sensodyne. Brush your teeth with it, but don't rinse, it needs to stay on the tooth for as long as possible. Try it for a couple weeks to see if it makes a difference.

Reply:ive had 20 teeth pulled cause the dentist wanted to try to get my teeth as straight as they could before braces.. but the shot is like a pinch after that like 3 minutes later it starts feeling weird and they will start wiggling it if i hurts still tell then and they will give you another shot.. for me it wasnt that it hurt it was the sounds the tooth makes when its coming outso bring your ipod or mp3 player and listen to the music and just dont think about it and it will be over faster

Reply:I had a cavity filled and a tooth pulled last Monday morning. I heard all kinds of horror stories before going to the appointment. It was nothing. Having the cavity filled was much more involved than having the tooth pulled. The tooth being pulled reminded me of the sensation of having a hair tweezed without the sharp pain. Just the feeling of something sliding from its place.
Be sure to follow their directions for care afterward very carefully. I used an ice pack and took some pain killer before the numbing wore off, and I didn't have any swelling or pain.
Keep it in perspective. A week from tomorrow the teeth being pulled will just be a memory. You'll do great!
Reply:don't worry i got my tooth pulled today and all you have to do is keep pressure on it and ask them to tell you what they are going to do i had the exact same thing done a filling and two teeth pulled but now i am doing fine it feels first kind of like a push not hard though then its gone and they put more gel in your mouth and you are done P.S. this was my first time having a tooth pulled and having another pulled next week if the bleeding stays try a tea bag and i am only 11

They will hurt I'm not gonna lie but they are quick and once the dentist is done with them you will be just fine. Th dentist will first (after your mouth is all numb and stuff) test the tooth to make sure there is no pain and then they will pull it. You will only feel pressure. I know that that sounds weird like how can I only feel pressure but it is true. Getting teeth pulled doesn't hurt, trust me. I got 4 teeth oulled for my braces and I was only supposed to get 2 pulled one Friday and then a week later get the other to pulled I just told the dentist, after she was done with the first two, to just go ahead and do the other two. It really doesn't hurt. I was all nervous like you are but believe me you will be fine. The extraction sites will bleed for a while and your lips will feel all fat from the novacaine but all of that will stop. Just make sure that you listen to the dentist's instructions after you get your teeth pulled and you will be fine.
As for the cavity thing I don't know but I know that if you do have a cavity they will not fill the cavity AND pull your teeth. They will set up different appointments...at least I think?!?!

i have braces, im 13, and for a couple of days my two bottom canine teeth have hurt. i cant bare the pain. it hurts when i put a little pressure on it, brush my teeth and sometimes when i breathe in. my teeth really hurt and i need to fix this problem. its like a shock through my tooth. Wisdom teeth coming in?
Ive been having slight discomfort o nand off for a couple years now but it alwasy goes away within a couple days. i already have too many teeth for my mouth and this week i started to have pain again. i noticed a corner protruding in the back of my upper right side and i am absolutely positive it is trying to puch out the tooth under it.
Is it easier to have your molars removed and let the wisdom teeth come down naturally, or do they somehow remove the teeth from the side so not to disturb the teeth that are already in use?
also how much does all this cost, roughly, in OC, Cali without insurane?

Are there any dental clinics or nearby dental schools, that would be willing to do the procedure for a reduced price?
