How many teeth do you have?

I am talking about permanent teeth here, if you still have baby teeth don't answer this. Apparently the average adult has 32 teeth. I only have 24 including 4 wisdom teeth, I had 4 permanent teeth removed before I got braces, so I would have had 28 teeth. Just wondering if anyone actually has 32 teeth, it seems like a lot.

Me personally? I have 31--I had 32 until my brother extracted my upper left wisdom tooth about 22 years ago.


Plenty of people have room for their wisdom teeth. Many do not. And it's not unusual for permanent teeth to be congenitally missing--most commonly the wisdom teeth, upper lateral incisors, and lower second premolars (you almost certainly had your first premolars removed for orthodontic treatment).
