Gum? Teeth? Uneven?

My teeth are straight but my two front teeth... the amount of teeth and gum showing are uneven. If you can visualize, just visualize one tooth that shows more gum and less tooth than the other side. Can this be fixed? Like somehow the gum be shaved off a bit (ouch)! It's starting to bother me.

Gum? Teeth? Uneven?
its called a gingivectomy, you go to your periodontist and they "even it out for you" remove a small peice of gum while your numb...i did it with the periodontist at my office and i felt fine the next day...i had the same problem you had, dont worry honestly it did not hurt me, i found it wasnt as major a surgury i thought it would be i was worried too, drove myself crazy over nothing, you should do it, you'll be soo much happier, i was!! you deserve it:)to be happy with your smile:)
Reply:well yes it can be corrected as it must be looking highly unaesthetic with uneven gumline , you can get a procedure called gingivectomy or gingivoplasty done.

gingivectomy-- a procedure in which gums are surgically excised .

gingivoplasty-- procedure aimed at recontouring the gingiva which may involve flap surgery where a part of mucosa is transferred from one place to another.
