Teeth and my 18 month old?

my son (18 months) has 4 teeth on the top upper and 2 more coming in on top, the "meat teeth". he has one "meat tooth" coming in on the bottom. then he has no other teeth on the bottom and has no signs of them coming in. is this strange? we have no dental insurance, i thought i would ask here first. dentist is the last resort.

Teeth and my 18 month old?
I think you are good I have seen many babys that don't get all their teeth until almost 2 1/2 they say if they are not all in by two to have them looked at-watch all of them will come in the same week.....lol
Reply:Yes it is fine for the teeth to come in in any sequence, although the front teeth first are more common. It's fine now but children should see a dentist about the time their first few teeth are coming in, definately by 2. Maybe they have a care clinic around you that wouldn't charge you, you should look into that.
Reply:for my two the two front bottom came in first.my son had all his by 2 1/2(the other is 8 months and only has two!).i didn't watch the pattern well of the other teeth but the front two did come in next.this may just be one of those things that individual babies develop differently.ask his pediatrician as he/she would know better than most on yahoo.sorry if i couldn't be of any help to ease your fears.
Reply:there is no rule teeth come as they like to come. i dont think there anything to worry about.

You could visit my website, http://www.learning-graph.com , which has excellent resources for children activities, children's diet, confidence building, skill building.
Reply:Nope, this is perfectly normal. All children develop at different rates. My niece is 2 and has 8 teeth; my daughter is 15 months old and has 12!! Go figure.
