One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you.

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation.

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness?

In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.

Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.
Reply:usually dreams about teeth falling out mean that there is an area of your life where you are loosing control of or you feel like everything in your life is out of control
Reply:According to the guidebooks, you are %26quot;Losing face%26quot;

You are losing confidence and power in your real life- or you are afraid you are... hence, no more bite for you.

but, see the dentist on the off chance you are grinding your teeth. Anything is possible
Reply:Nobody is going to know what your dream means for sure, they might throw some psychology at you, but that%26#039;s it. I have had the same dream! However, I couldn%26#039;t tell exactly what it means. It freaked me out quite a bit too. I have also been having some problems with my teeth.

Although it sounds like you take good care of your teeth, maybe its just time for some of those teeth to have some issues, and your telling yourself that. Because you worry so much about your teeth, perhaps thats another reaon why you have nightmares about it. Dreams are conflicts, unresolved. Remember that. And thats the best I can do.
Reply:You are grinding your teeth in your sleep, due to anxiety.
Reply:This is actually a very common dream, like falling or flying. You should first ask yourself what your gut tells you it means, and pay attention to that. Generally, it is said that this dream indicates a feeling that you are not being the person you%26#039;d like to be or living the life you%26#039;d like to live. Are there some major changes you%26#039;re dragging your feet on making or does your life seem %26quot;off%26quot;? This dream often helps people by bringing the import of making changes to center stage.

PS- Journal your dreams and become a lucid (aware you%26#039;re dreaming) dreamer! There is so much to learn about how you %26quot;really%26quot; feel about things. In most dreams, there will be a part you don%26#039;t want to mention because you have the sense it %26quot;doesn%26#039;t count for much%26quot;. Remember - - this is usually the most important part of the dream! :-)

PPS- Some people believe all people in our dreams represent us, or parts of ourselves we can%26#039;t admit we have (so we get other people to give a face to those parts). Something to think about....
Reply:i had the same dream (almost exactly) and every morning i would wake up with intense jaw pain. for me, i knew i was clenching my teeth, but i couldn%26#039;t figure out why - i wasn%26#039;t stressed or anything. as it turns out, i wasn%26#039;t eating close enough to bedtime. i would go to bed hungry and in my sleep i would clench and grind my teeth (sort of an unconscious chewing). i don%26#039;t know if the clenching caused my jaw to hurt, which in turn caused the dreams or if i would dream about my teeth falling out and clench in response.
Reply:I%26#039;ve had Dreams about my teeth too.One time this guy snuck up behind me and took both of his fist at the same time on each side of my jaw and slam ,slam, slam, 3 times. He crushed my teeth inward.

My mouth had to get wired shut and I had to sip everything through a straw for 2 months.

For years later it would seem that my teeth where slushing around freely in my mouth rolling around on my tongue and around in my cheeks in my sleep and I thought I was going to swallow them.

Who knows maybe it was happening.

As far as your dream goes.It may be that you could be using strong bristles from you brush and it could be pulling your gums back more and more.Your body might be telling you something.Using a softer bristle might help.

I use hard Bristles but brush once a day and sometimes twice.

I could be completely wrong.

Maybe you just have an obsession about your teeth in such away that its effecting your dreams in an insecure way.
Reply:Some interesting responses and hypotheses above.

Teeth are a weird part of the body, in that they%26#039;re the only external body part that can%26#039;t heal or grow back. You lose a bunch of them when you%26#039;re a kid and then you ask your parents if you%26#039;ll lose the new ones. They say no, you won%26#039;t. But then you see some people who have in fact lost their adult teeth. This is a permanent thing, and so losing adult teeth becomes a deep-seated fear because 1) you know what losing teeth feels like, 2) adult teeth wouldn%26#039;t grow back and 3) toothless people are typically seen as unattractive. Dreams can tend to reify our deep-seated fears from time to time.
