Root canalled tooth hurts after i had my impacted wisdom teeth removed?

I had 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed Oct. 12 its now Oct. 25. I had 2 top ones removed %26amp; 1 bottom on the left side. I had a root canal performed on the last left side bottom molar tooth probably about a 3 weeks or so before i had my wisdom teeth removed. It still has the temporary filling in. The root canalled tooth started hurting (a faint throbbing i guess) about a week into my recovery from my wisdom teeth removal. anyone know why? I wish someone (my dentist) or (oral surgeon) would have told me to get a root canal after my wisdom teeth were pulled. Any help would be appreciated... I’m having lots of anxiety. I go back to my oral surgeon Thursday and I will be asking him. But I feel like they always say %26quot;that’s normal%26quot; or %26quot;it takes time to heal%26quot; blah

%26amp; i have to say that the left side of my face where i had upper/lower wisdom teeth extracted still feels weird. not painful just the upper gums in the back feel weird. it hurts to suck in my cheeks to put blush on.

I have had a lot of dental work and anytime the dentist does more work, or the weather changes suddenly I feel pain. If the pain is really distracting, persists too long or you think it may be serious, you should ask your dentist.

Reply:You could have a dry socket. or an infection. Keep calling
Reply:first you should be sucking on your cheeks, you still have those holes that havent close yet. and its normal that you other teeth hurt, at least that what happened to me my other teeth were hurting after my surgery but then i just took a percaset, and it went away.
Reply:Ouch. Root canals are no fun at all!

This is just a guess, since I had to get all 4 wisdoms pulled. The dentist and oral surgeon said I should get them pulled right away, especially my lower set, becuz they were coming out sideways instead of vertically. Underneath the gumline, the wisdoms would grind into the neighbouring molar, weaken it, make it susceptible to rot, and thus I would require a double root canal.

Maybe the removal of the wisdom tooth eased the pressure against your root canalled tooth. Depending on your age and how mature your wisdoms got, the major nerve running through your jaw is sending the pain signals (immature wisdoms did not have the time to attach to this nerve, but mature ones will), so maybe you%26#039;re just feeling the effect.

At least you%26#039;re asking the docs on Thursday. If you are unsatisfied with their blah answers, keep asking...ask for some logical reason or hypothesis. Get an xray, if it%26#039;ll put you at more ease.

Here%26#039;s to a speedy recovery for you (cuz I didn%26#039;t, since I needed stitches for the darn things). Good luck!
Reply:theres a chance that the pain is actually coming from where u had the tooth extracted as oppose to the started root canal,

my suggestion is to see the dentist sooner, it can be difficult to determine which tooth is actually causing the pain, but the dentist should be able to tell you straight away
