These are premolar teeth that you are referring to and I would guess are being taken out for braces. The roots on these teeth are ice cream cone shaped and are fairly easy to remove. You will be numb and will probably just feel some pressure or pushing. Good luck!

Reply:Yeahi had my wisdom teeth out not too long ago....and yea it hurt after wards....but the procedure (if u are getting put under) is painless...... they should give you pain pills...... soooo you will be fine..... i will pray for you..... ok sooo there is no need to be scared..!
Reply:Don't worry, the dentist will have good medicine so you won't feel anything. I've had a molar out and it wasn't bad at all. These are your permanent teeth it sounds like, so there will be a root, but you won't feel anything. Bring an Ipod or something to listen to while the dentist works and try to relax.
Reply:Unless you are under 12 then they will be adult teeth. Milk teeth and baby teeth (same thing) also have roots, but when the new tooth grows underneath the root disolves and they fall out.

My friends daughter had to have all her milk/baby teeth extracted because the roots didnt disolve. She was fine.

It will be numbed and you wont feel a thing, just a tugging, but it is not painful. If it is you should get a better dentist.

Good luck!

Reply:milk teeth = baby teeth = deciduous teeth ;)
