Wisdom teeth removal URGENT surgery scheduled in three hours ?

I am 32 and my wisdom teeth are coming in now . Both my lower wisdom teeth are horizontally impacted (but not yet erupted) and therefore need to go . My upper left wisdom tooth is aligned fine and has space ( as shown in panoramic X ray ) but my upper right wisdom tooth doesnt seem to have space thou it is also aligned correctly . My insurance has run out and i need to know if i can leave both the upper teeth in and just have the lowers removed . Will they cause a problem later on esp the upper right one ? As everytime i will have to pay for the sedation if i dont get them out now. But if theres no big problem (other than space) i would really like to leave them in. Also i have another right lower molar which is abscessing and the doctor says i should get it out too , thou it never hurts ? ! Should i wait for it to start hurting and then go for extraction , the principal being so far so good ? And for as long as i can get work done from it why not ? I have another 5 months in US and

-you were right the lower widom teeth need to go for they will cause further damage to your lower molars.

-the upper left wisdom tooth can be left there in its place cuase it has a bigger tendency to erupt 'coz it has sufficiant space. but if it erupts and you find that you are having a hard time cleaning it you could always have it removed later.

-the upper right wisdom teeth must be removed if a part of it is showing because it might decay and cause other damages (like a cyst or something). but if the tooth is fully embedded in bone you can leave it there.

- the other right molar can be saved by root canal therapy (ask your dentist bout it) that way you won't need to have it removed. but if you decide to have it removed don't wait for it to start hurting, before you have it extracted, the abcess might interfere with the components of the anesthesia making extraction painful.

-and yes, you can have you 3rd molars removed using only local anesthesia instead of sedation ^.^
Reply:most of the time yes. when i had mine removed only the bottoms need to be but they went ahead and did the uppers also so that i would not have a problem a few months or years later.
Reply:Go ahead use America like a human atm machine, everyone else from different countrys does, so why should you be any different? Im sorry but I,ll be blunt here, while on one hand I feel pity for you, theirs this other part of me that is screaming out with rage! Stop sucking money out of our US dollars to benefit your own personal gain! I have worked hard for this country all my life, I am a American Citizen, I have never commited one crime nor ever asked for a dime from my country, so when the day came that I needed dental help, guess what? I had to pay out of my own pocket $899.00 to get my teeth fixed! Then I hear stories of people who are not from this country who have not offered a thing to this country, and they just come on over and take what I feel is not rightfully theirs, just ticks me off! So go ahead, before you leave for your country use mine up, take it for everything you can, come into my home and take! Everyone else does.
Reply:Yes you should go ahead and have them all taken out at the same time. The reason that you should have you wisdom teeth taken out is because most people do not have a large enough jaw to support them so when they do erupt they will cause all of your other teeth to shift and move. They are also so far back that it is hard to keep them as clean as you should so it is easier for them to get infected. You do not have to be put to sleep to have them taken out. I didn't get put to sleep. I just had the dentist get me numb. I had no pain while the procedure was happening. The reason that alot of people get put to sleep is because they don't want to see or hear what is happening. I would not wait 5 months to have the upper wisdom teeth taken out. As far as the molar that is abscessed you should really have this tooth taken care of also. The tooth is not causing you any pain because the infection has a way to drain so it is not building up pressure. I would have a root canal done instead of removing the tooth. You should always try to save your teeth because when you remove the tooth your other teeth will shift and move into the space. Good Luck with whatever you choose to have done.
Reply:wisdom teeth are a time bomb waiting to go off.. can wake up with infection and swollen, listen to oral surg, he knows best. I worked for them for 35 yrs. Abcessing is a escape for the pain, take antibotics and get it out, will have tio wait for infection to clear as novicaine wont take if infected. Good luck!
Reply:hi,

for ur info, horizontally impacted will x going to erupt out of the arch. unless u do an ortho treatment to move it.

regarding to ur concern of ur wisdom teeth, u didn't give me the condition of the teeth. do u experiencing recurrent pericoronitis? means that infections to ur gums surround the partially erupt crown. if no is the answer, then no nedd to worry. no symptoms of pain then it is fine to just leave it without any treatment.

why?

as u know, every procedure have advantages and disadvantages. this procedure, we called it minor oral surgery do have many/ a lot of bad side. one of it, u may get parasthesia due to ur complexed root or the root is very closed to the ID nerve inside the ID canal of the lower jaw.

u may have post-op pain, rebleeding, fracture hard tissue-bone, injured ur soft tissue and so on.

then, u may have swollen face if the procedure is complex.

sedation??

i my country, sedation is one of the option that i would suggest to my patient.but we seldom use it. because of the side effect. we usually use local anasthesia. but, make sure to get very numb before the proceeding to the incision of flap.

hope u think again.

why troubling ourselves with the unneeded surgery if it bring no harm to u.

some research said. wisdom tooth can be used to replaced the other badly broken down tooth which need to be extracted. what i mean is replant of wisdom tooth to the other side of the socket.

good luck
