Teeth chipping away, can they be fixed?

I have bad teeth and am scared to go to the dentist. I have 3 "eye" teeth I think is what they are called, that are starting to decay on the outside. One is really bad, it is black. They need to be filled I think. I have one tooth that has eventually chipped down to the gumline but so far hasn't bothered me. I had a partial root canal done, they did the first stage where they drilled down and packed it with meds, but that hurt so bad and I didn't go back. Another tooth has chipped, but only a little, right in the middle. Could they fill that tooth, or cap it to prevent it chipping away?

Teeth chipping away, can they be fixed?
You need dental work, it sounds like your teeth are not chipping away, but rotting away. The dentist may be able to save some of them, let him/her know that you have trouble with pain, they can help you.
Reply:It sound like your teeth are bad enough for dentures. I wish you had good teeth.
Reply:I do not know if they will fill these teeth or exactly what the dentist will do. One thing I can suggest is to take better care of your teeth. Drinking milk helps the teeth because of the calcium. It helps make your teeth strong. I am 36 years old and have never had a cavity because I drink a lot of milk and I take care of my teeth. I would suggest doing the same thing.
Reply:HAI.....You are not out dated, even the third world is catching up,You are living in super advance technology and research continent..not on tree top , as long as you can afford there is no problem encounter's,therefore my suggestions go and see tooth specialists, tell them your painful experiences, they will do their best to help and ease with your agony -trauma. 'PRAYS AND SHARING YOUR PAINS.'
Reply:Hi, sorry to hear about your teeth. I think you are right, you need some dental work done. Decay is progressive, so the sooner you face your fear and get into a dental office, the better. It is easier to fill an area of small decay. The longer you wait, the worse things will be. Find an office that you are comfortable with, you may even ask the dentist for some sedation to help deal with your fear. Root canals can be painful if the infection within the tooth is quite bad. You shouldn't stay away just because of that experience. Good Luck.
