Wisdom teeth?

i have some very painfull wisdom teeth comeing through...now one of them has cut enough of the gum to create like a flap of gum over the top of the tooth and the gum flap kind of sits in the dip in the tooth.....now i do clean my teeth but i lifted the flap up to see if maby i could pull it off (i couldnt coz its still very much a part of the gum) and saw plaq under there and when i dug it out ( after trying to clean it out with a tooth brush) it smelled really bad...is there anything i can do,,,i dont have a dentist, and its very difficult to get one.

Wisdom teeth?
I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you do need to find yourself a dentist. I know how hard it is to find one, but they're out there, and they are pretty good about working with you. I suggest if you can, try going to an office that's through the county/state (however they do it), and checking out their sliding fee, or apply for medicaid if you don't have dental insurance.

Make sure you rinse your mouth very well after brushing, but try to avoid messing too much with that tooth back there. It needs cleaned obviously, but you poking around back there might cause infection and then you'll probably have to see a dentist anyway.

I highly suggest seeing about having your wisdom teeth pulled. You really don't need them, and they can be very hard to take care of. Call around and get some estimates and make sure to ask about payment plans %26amp; such.

Best of luck to you.
Reply:that sounds dangerous. I know you said its hard to get a dentist but you should try. You dont want to let that get any worse. To ease the pain and clean it out gargle salt water. My Ortho told me to do that when I first got my braces on. Good luck!
Reply:Just leave it alone and brush your teeth with tooth paste added with two drops of clove oil and everything would be normal.
Reply:yes go to your chemist and buy yourself a bottle of corsodyl mouthwash and gel rinse your mouth out at least three times a day with the mouthrinse and then with a clean cotton bud apply some of the gel to the affected area and allow it to soak in. Also as an extra aid you can rinse your mouth with hot salt and water as many times as possible throughout the day this will help keep the affected area as clean as possible .
Reply:Better get a dentist before infection causes more problems. I had wisdom teeth and they were pulled. Two at a time. Those teeth cannot be maintained by normal brushing. If it stinks better go and get medication and get them removed.
